Performance and Teaching


Colin is available for recitals, weddings and degree ceremonies.

  • Recitals: Organ and piano. Colin has a wide repertoire and can tailor a recital for the audience.
  • Weddings: Colin has delighted brides and grooms with his talent for producing memorable music for their wedding services. He is happy to discuss with wedding parties the musical possibilities and their particular requests either as a soloist or as part of Tuba Magna.
  • Degree ceremonies: Colin has played for many years at the Warwick University Degree Congregations and has played for hundreds of thousands of graduands and their families! He has also played for degree ceremonies for Coventry University, Warwickshire College and the Open University and is happy to produce a programme in his inimitable bubbly style!

Colin is an accomplished accompanist with an enviable reputation for reliability and musical flair. He plays regularly for concerts given by the Royal Leamington Spa Bach Choir and the Warwick & Kenilworth Choral Society, and he is engaged by Warwick University to accompany their Concerto Competitions and scholarship/bursary audition programme. Colin is in demand to accompany instrumentalists and singers for their graded examinations, and he has a busy schedule of concert performances with choral societies, singers and instrumental groups. Colin won great acclaim in 2008 when he accompanied the world renowned opera star Sir John Tomlinson at a gala concert. Colin has a prodigious talent for playing at sight, and he has gained a reputation for his ability to step in at the last moment – saving many a concert from disaster!
